The Gardens Group identifies natural areas of Felpham that need attention. It is also recognized by ADC as 'Friends of Old Rectory Gardens' and runs a regular workgroup there at 2pm on the fourth Friday of every month.
Friends of Old Rectory Gardens
Whilst Arun District Council maintains the Gardens, the Society augments their work with regular monthly work parties. Members and non-members are welcome even if they can only give a little time. Bring your gardening gloves and basic tools and you’ll be put to work for an hour or so with proper direction and a friendly group. The Friends promote the use of the gardens and liaise with Arun District Council on the gardens management plan. The Friends are currently exploring the dense copse area making it accessible whilst still retaining its natural habitat and encouraging wildlife.
We meet in Old Rectory Gardens every fourth Friday of the month at 2pm.
Rectory Gardens has once again in 2024 won the Green Flag Award
